February 24, 2018 Speaker: Elin Berg

Elin Berg is a student in the Language Education Department at the University of Kristiansand, Norway, who is doing part of her student teaching at Kennedy Secondary School in the French and English departments. Elin is a native of Sweden, who has lived in Norway for many years with her husband and three young children. She speaks Norwegian, Swedish, English and French and is an amazing woman who has also held managerial positions in the high end restaurant world in Kristiansand. Kristiansand is a beautiful city on the southernmost tip of Norway, and is known as the Norwegian Riviera. She will be discussing some of her observations about the differences and similarities between the Scandinavian and American educational systems as well as differences regarding career benefits such as maternity leave. She also welcomes your questions about other aspects of these cultures. To RSVP for this wonderful discussion, please contact Theresa Lee at tlee@otpco.com, or 218-739-9389 or 218-205-4895
